Myself, husband and two children are going to Pamporovo in January next year staying in the Orlovetts hotel. Can anyone let me know if it will cater for my son who needs a gluten diet. Are there any cafe's on the slopes that will do gluten free. (This means he cannot eat anything with wheat, barley, oats or rye). Has anyone been out there who is a coeliac (Gluten Free)?
Catering for the needy is not one of Bulgarias' strong points, but you should find plenty for him within the resort. I am diabetic, yet have very few problems with the food.
Most hotels serve a wide range for breakfast including eggs, sausages, cheeses, fruit, yogurts, etc. and evening meals usually give a choice of vegetables, at least 2 choices of meats, (1 is nearly always chicken) soups, salads, and a range of deserts.
Probably a wider range of choices on the slopes. Head for ...

Probably a wider range of choices on the slopes. Head for Spiders at the mid station as they have a good extensive menu there.
I'm not Coeliac, but don't eat wheat as it disagrees with me. There's no problem providing he'll eat a proper meal as there is always lots of food on offer.
I've even managed this as wheat free and vegetarian too.
