Hi Folks,
As a seasoned traveller to this wonderful country I thought it only right to encourage activities other than skiing.
In my experience the Bulgarian people, the instructors, the bar and hotel staff, the shop owners, ski shops and just about everyone else are very friendly and want nothing more than to encourage you to return.
This gives you the opportunity to get off the beaten track.....for example I will relate a personal experience.........
On a trip to Borovets 18 ...

On a trip to Borovets 18 months ago two of our friendly ski instructors arranged a trip for our party to a local village restaurant, George and Vlad laid on the transport, booked the restaurant and carefully planned the evening for us......all in advance.........all for no reason other than to encourage us to "go experience Bulgaria".
Our party consisted of adults and children, even an infant, we were treated to some of the warmest hospitality I have ever experienced along with simply superb local cuisine, the staff at the restaurant could not have worked harder to make it a brilliant night for all and I know that I can safely speak for my friends when I say it was our most memorable experience of the entire holiday!
To all our friends in Bulgaria, George, Vlad and especially Julia.........a huge thank you !
