Goggles..which ones

Hi all
Going skiing to Borovets for Christmas. Not sure which lenses are best. At the moment I own a pair of Dragon DXS with blue ionized mirror lenses. Do you think these will be OK? I have only been skiing once before so I am no expert. Any suggestions?

Hi deb
Yes, I think your goggles will do very well indeed. They have all the right specs. Did you get the extra amber replaceble lens when you bought them?

Hi Steve
No it did not come with replaceable lens. I have had a look and I cannot see any where that sells replacement amber lens's for these goggles. Is this something I need?

Hi Deb,

The mirrored lenses look the biz, but they're really for sunny days. The yellow/amber lenses, despite looking a bit 70's kojak style, are better suited to flat light, when it's overcast or snowing and it's difficult to see the texture and lumps and bumps in the snow.

I just did a google shopping search and found them here - http://www.edgeriders.com/product_info.php?products_id=4003

I'm not sure what the policy is on me posting links, but if this is stripped, google Edgeriders and check their website. They're doing them for £19.

Good luck!

re: Goggles..which ones

just bought a pair of photochromatic Zeal goggles, fed up of having the light change during the day and either needing a couple of pairs or changeable lenses. Anyway situation now sorted, not cheap but at least you can see!! Booze Booze Booze Booze
