Goggles

Hi all, I wear glasses and have been advised by experienced skiers that goggles would be better a) in windy cold weather and b) that glasses fall off when you fall!! Can anyone tell me of a good make of goggles big enough will allow me to wear glasses all the time? 29 SLEEPS TO GO!!!

re: Goggles

There are various makes of Goggles specifically designed to be worn over glasses. My husband has a pair but these were bought in Canada. Suggest a trip to your nearest ski shop.

re: Goggles

Just search for "goggles OTG" (over-the-glasses) and you'll find lots of online places that sell them.

re: Goggles

If it is snowing or conditions are murky goggles give much better definition to the slope. If its nice and sunny then you probably wouldn't wear them.

re: Goggles

Grog, have you considered using contact lenses for skiing and sports? I wear glasses but got really tired of having them fog up and having to worry about them falling off when i enevitably fall over so contacts for all my sports and glasees at other times.

re: Goggles

Yeah, i use contacts as well. gives you more options for eyewear, and you don't risk breaking them.

re: Goggles

Hi

I got a cheap pair of perscription sunnies for when its fine, and a pair of Scott Icon Heli googles for when its not!

Although beware, some OTG googles are so big its like wearing a SCUBA diving mask!
