If the gondola is closed everyone uses the chair lift which runs to a different part of the mountain. This tends to make the runs on this side very crowded and can mean longer queues for the lifts. Also some of the better red runs are from the gondola side, so can get a little boring if the gondola is closed. When we were there last year in March the gondola was closed 3 days out of 6, but we still enjoyed the skiing and are going back this year.

If the gondola is shut ask if the Yastabeets 4 man is open. If it is it only costs 10lev for 4 people in a taxi to get there about 5 minutes travel and is well worth the effort
