Leaving Bansko after 2nd visit. Had a great relaxing week and managed the best out of poor conditions. The place is dead and has been since monday, I think the decision to close sloped on Sunday is the right one, for all but advanced skiers the slopes are not good, fresh snow on ice that Ulen have not maintained is not good. The town may well come alive a little on the 1st as its Bulgarian school holiday but as for skiing forget it, its just not been a good season. Feel sorry for those visiting here 1st time in last 10 days if you pay full price for slopes you should get same effort put into slopes as at the beginning but that certainly not the case. Town well dead also, Happy End had no local beer since I arrived, watched steady stream of people walk in walk straight out on 2 evenings, obviously do to well when times are good to care !, all in all not good for Bansko. All said enjoyed a pleasant week and sorry to leave
