Well, I got my Bulgarian visa this morning (I am South African and soon to get my UK passport - yippeee), the snow is a certain, assured fact, there will even be some sunshine next week to enjoy all that fresh snow with, my leg muscles are now strong and ready for the punishment that I am going to subject them to with all the skiing, I have been practicing on the drinking side of things....so, get me on that plane - I can't wait ANY longer!!
Tell me about it!! As a direct result I am now proud to say that I can give anyone the low-down on most countries entry requirements and what your chances are of been granted a visa (if need), even in the UK. That is how many times I have had to stand outside an embassy in London at the crack of dawn (even before the birds have risen!) freezing my arse off in the winter months just to get into the embassy. Bottom line - be VERY grateful that you don't have to travel on a SA passport. They are more hassle than they are worth.
Not to worry though, I am elligible to apply for my British passport in November this year (and I am even counting the days on that front!!)
I don't have any problems on my NZ passport. I've been in the uk for 10 years not. best I get of my arse and become a brit me thinks and get a UK passport.
Yeah, for me, it is 100% wothwhile getting my UK passport as my SA passport is not worth the paper it is written on - honestly! I too have been in the UK a long time - 7 years - and am very much looking forward to becoming a Brit (by naturalization that is) and getting my UK passport. Imagine that - no more visas!! Now that is worth celebrating I can assure you.
