Been to Austria no of times and going back 1st week in Jan ,also France ,Italy and even skied in Scotland but for value for money and the people you meet cannot beat Bulgaria ,its not perfect but i think that adds to the apeal,so all you regular contributers keep it up till the Snoe comes and then some more.

With the EEC just around the corner, I believe the investment will be made as in Bansko where £90 million has been ploughed into making it the top resort it is today.
I do not believe Bansko is overcrowded yet, which is why I have chosen to try it in January, but moves need to made and quickly before they kill the golden goose.
just get to the gondla early once you are up the mountain it is fine but can be a bit of a crush at the bottom,
i went back the same year couldnt wait until the following one.
Vano there has been lots of building in Pamps as well.
Who knows how crowded Bansko will be this season. Not many of the apartments are fully booked. You just need to avoid the school hols to avoid the queues I managed it once out of three visits last season and it was fantastic.
The other 2 times were good as well
