no you cant take your boots on as hand luggage. . .also boots now count as part of your 20 kg allowance. .. went to bansko 4 weeks ago and could not take any liquids through passport control. . .you can buy water drinks etc when you get through to departures and take them on plane though
You can take liquids through but only in small amounts e.g small moisturiser up to a 100mls and you have to carry them in a clear sealable bag. ( I bought set of 3 from M&S for a £5)- it may be different at each airport so you need to check with wherever you are flying from.Manchester airport have a security section on their website which gives you all the do's and dont's. DRINKS, liquids or general wash items..cosmetics... perfumes etc betc etc greater than 100ml and then separately in a clear plastic bag for scanning purposes (No offence peeps, but just stuff it all in your suitcase its only 1.5-3 hours normal flight time, how bad do you smell..anyway if you do need some stuff treat yourself AIRSIDE if you really have to. ...

YOU CANNOT buy wines or spirits in the resort and then 'carry' them home. If you buy it outthere IT MUST go in suitcase. My trick was to stuff bottle in ski boot and throw that in case. (i had space)
