Hi All,
12 of us wanta go skiing in Bulgaria, as we hear its cheap & Cheerful, they staff are friendly etc. 1 of the group wants to go to Bardonnechia, Italy skiing. Mainly I think just cus its Italy. Looking to book this week coming, so need answers quickly, cheers!
My questions are:
1) Is it cheap, roughly how much for a beer, coffee, meal out etc.
2) Is there much Apres Ski? if what and how much does it cost?
3)We have been recommend the Somokov, though reading the reviews, its ...

Well yes I say Bulgaria. in answer to the questions.
1. very cheap. beer 60p, coffee 30p, proper meal with wine £5, lunch snack £2.
2. yes loads of apres ski big fun party resorst centered around drinking. But also other stuff available day trips wine tasking local evenins etc. all the bars and discos are free to get in (except maybe the hotel discos - small charge £1) beer is the same prices and spirits and mixers (double measures 60p - £1)

Well yes I say Bulgaria. in answer to the questions.
1. very cheap. beer 60p, coffee 30p, proper meal with wine £5, lunch snack £2.
2. yes loads of apres ski big fun party resorst centered around drinking. But also other stuff available day trips wine tasking local evenins etc. all the bars and discos are free to get in (except maybe the hotel discos - small charge £1) beer is the same prices and spirits and mixers (double measures 60p - £1)
3. The resort it's self is quite small and compact so it's really handy for everything hardley any walking for anything. ski schools are based at the collection depots under the hotel or at the gondola station or ski slope.
4 Samakov hotel is the biggest and most central right slap bang in the middle. It is good as it has everything in it (bowling, pool, pooltables etc.) the rooms are basic but clean and the food really depends on you taste. local stuff in buffet style. but it is cheap tp eat out so its not a big problem if its not to your taste.
5 By the way this is all about Borovets which is the resort I would reccomend for a group as it is the most varied for all concerened from what I gather.
6. Hotels would recommend Samakov or Rila for a group. Rila again is central to everything and all the same ameneties as Samakov I find it slightly nicer and newer and cleaner plus they do 4 person studios so you get a fridge and hob for drinks in your room.
