Hand luggage

We are taking walkie talkies and chargers with us. Does anyone know if it is ok to put them in hand luggage or does it cause aggro going through security? Flying from Gatwick which hasn't lifted one piece of hand luggage restrictions.

Trying to restrict weight in hold luggage so I can squeeze extra clothes in for orphanage.

i went through gatwick with walkie talkies in hand luggage, no probs!!! had to take our shoes of going through customs, my daughter took her laptop as hand luggage. They were very good!!

should be ok you can now take mobiles and other electrical goods through with you, but if its clothes for the orphanage would you not be better off putting them in your hand lug as quiet light
