Book 12months in advance is like to bet on something Like lottery.
History and stats are there for you to lower tha chance of having something else than ski holiday when you arrive there in 12 months time.
Better get close( 1-2 weeks) before your planned departure date and after search on the Net for about a night or two-book somethere safe (who knows then even Bulgaria could be good/perfect for you)

When I was in Pamp 2 weeks ago in Pamp it was still just about picture perfect-the best week was begining of Feb,
Now though it is a different matter and after tasting Boro I think I will have to stick to Boro only and will skip Pamp.
Just not high enough to keep the cool Temps under the hammering spring sun right now.
If I can do Good skiing from 9-12 in Boro in Pamp there will be good for about an hour each day.
Unless snow gods deside to bless again BG resorts for one last time.
Still very brave move to book a year in advance.

Flights booked. I think its not really much of a gamble to presume that there will be some snow in Feb.

No SW you can relax that in the middle of Feb there will be some snow somewhere including UK.
Quite tricky though even for Feb in your Pamporovo where you have decided to invest Smile .
Brave people me thinks Smile
Again I think that it is very much a huge gamble to stretch for 11 months with the hope of GOOD snow in Pamporovo.
Nothing against Pamp as you know but when the time comes I look the weather current situation and I book to go where there is plenty of the stuff which I want to touch ...

There is never a strugle for choice during the winter as I can go anywhere following the snow and not my 'investment'.
Even for example now I am off to high resorts with glacier skiing because the worst thing is RAIN when you ski.
I have experienced the rain in Pamporovo good few times even in the middle of a winter (fact)

wow - so you are happy to bet on snow 'somewhere in the UK' in Feb but think its 'quite tricky though even for Feb in Pamporovo'
Heck - I know where I'd put my money 11 months in advance and it sure as heck aint on in snowing anywhere in the UK!

I have other reasons for going to Pamps in Feb - if the snow is good, then great, if not then so be it - I never claimed to be booking the ski holiday of a lifetime!! All I was saying was that I was happy with the prices that I have paid for 5 ...

You can get a dodgy week of snow anywhere - (fact). Some people have to book early to get the cheapest flights - (fact). People are generally not thick and realise with lower prices comes a greater risk of poor snow - (Fact). Many people fall in love with bulgaria and are willing to take this risk whatever the weather - (fact). Many of these people have not invested in Bulgaria - (fact).

Let us just get on with looking forward to our holidays!

I've been 3 winters in a row (at different times), and had snow everytime. Maybe I'm lucky, or maybe it just snows regularly in Pamprovo.

re: Has any body Booked Pamps for next year

There are times when its risky and there are times when its more likely to have reasonable snow - just like anywhere else I suppose. For Pamporovo, mid Jan to early March is usually sure enough I would have said.
