Has the recession hit buylgaria???

I have been put off skiing in france by the very weak pound against the Euro and i just wondered whether or not:

Bulgaria still use the Lev (they did when i visited last in 2005)

and, if they do still use it, what is the current exchange rate like with the pound.

Also, anyone know what has happened with Bulgarian prices for things like beer, food, accomodation since 2005.

Any feedback greatly appreciated, as hoping to go to Bansko this season at some point.

The lev is pegged to the euro

Prices are similar to UK at the moment with the exchange rate as it is.
