Had the most spectacular fall half way down one of the red runs in Boro. Flew through the air and landed face down in the the thankfully very deep off piste snow. Both skis came off and moved the bindings so far back, I couldn't get them back on and no amount of huffing and puffing was going to move them. I was left with no alternative but to pick up my skis and walk! Got back to the ski depot fired up to raise hell about their sub standard, shoddy equipment. They picked up the skis and ...

I was left with no alternative but to pick up my skis and walk! Got back to the ski depot fired up to raise hell about their sub standard, shoddy equipment. They picked up the skis and moved the bindings with ease It was only hard packed ice and snow that had stopped them moving for me - so lesson learned, if the same happens to you, find yourself a sunny spot and just relax for half an hour while the ice melts. If only I'd known that, I wouldn't have walked past the mountain cafe

A funnier one was when ( on our first ever weeks skiing) our group stopped on the side of the piste and I stopped behind my missus and the ski instructor. A few seconds after we had stopped a guy in exactly the same gear as me and about the same build, came hurtling down the slope and round the corner on one leg totally out of control then round the next corner. The ski instructor and my missus were screaming at him to stop or SNOWPLOUGH until I told them to leave him alone. You should have seen the look on their faces when they turned around. It was as if they had seen a ghost. What a picture.
