Hi Everyone,
It's been a while since I have been on this board as I went over to the dark side and did France a few times. But on February 8th we are back to Boro staying at the Rila and I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed for a decent number of dumps before we head out as I am bringing my new wife and her son who are completely new to skiing. And as they are going to be doing lessons I'm going to join an 'improver's' lesson to try and learn how to do it properly. So decent snow on the higher slopes will make it quieter down low for the newbies (The Rila slopes look horribly packed on the webcam right now).
We stayed at the Samakov last time where the food was (erm) average, is it safe to assume Rila is not any better and eating out is best?
Also, does anyone know if the Rila's ski school is OK? The instructors were pretty good at the Samakov last time.
Can't wait to get there.... as long as the snow does fall of course.
Hi
Food is same in virtually all hotels but I would say Rila is one of the better ones. I would think with the Rila you will be with Borosport so it is a bit pot luck but you should be OK.
Pop in to Bobbys or Bobbys indian where you will find good food. There are also many other decent places which Kas and Bobby will happily recommend even though they have their own place.
dbut
I have visited a few of the bars on previous trips and found them all to be pretty good. The Indian sounds new though, can't remember that being there or maybe I just missed it.
I have some friends out in Boro now who are enjoying the nightlife but cursing the lack of white stuff, strangely late season isn't it.
