Has anyone been heli skiing at Borovets?http://www.bulgariaski.com/borovets/heliski.shtml
If so, what was it like? is it only for advanced skiiers/Boarders? and would it be hard to get a group of 8?

ud have to hire TWO heli choppers which means double the money, can u loose 4??

Thanks for the replies guys.The reason I asked about getting 8 people is that on the website it mentions that you should be at least 8 people and I would be going on my own, so was wondering how hard it would be to get a group together.

That's an Mi-8 helicopter, it can easily hold 8 people. Some Mi-8 variations can hold 22 passengers plus 3 crew! So 8 people will easily get on.Providing that it is an Mi-8, thats what it says on the page.

heli skiing here is 1200 euros an hour flying time plus flying down from sofia but you will also need to hire local guides as the slopes are notoriously unstable only advisable for the experienced, talented and sensible! helicopter can take up to 10 people with kit as is better to fly in groups of 8 with 2 guides no more as the guides ( if professional) wont be happy with larger groups, if the group is all very experienced heli skiiers and do not need guides then you can fly up to 16 but ...
