Help!!! cash travellers cheques

Hi i'm going to pamporovo skiing in 2 weeks. I was wondering what is best to take along.
Bulgarian lev, Travellers cheques or UK Sterling to change when out there? Are there many Bureaux de change type places out there?

Have to agree with Steve, we always take cash then change when we're there.
Would recommend taking new £20 notes!

re: Help!!! cash travellers cheques

Just come back from Borovets. We got a better exchange rate at the airport in Sofia - 2.1498 versus exchanging further cash at the bank in Borovets - 2.1027. Heathrow were offering 1.98 on our day of departure. They do scrutinise notes and refusted one that was bent in a corner, so take crisp new ones!
