Help! Booking holiday in Bulgaria

A few questions and points so bear with me:

We have been to Pamps in Feb 05, got an excellent deal under £900 for two of us including snowboard/boot hire and lift pass.

We are considering Bansko following comments about Pamp's main run collapsing. Although Pamps isn't out of the question, as our holiday in the Mourgavets was excellent.

Questions:

1) Who is the "best" place to book with in your opinion?

Questions:

1) Who is the "best" place to book with in your opinion?
2) Where is a reasonable place to stay in Bansko given the fact we want to spend as near as £1000 as possible and if that includes some of the spending money, so much the better (yes I'm tight! the more we save the more I can spend on Booze)
3) 3rd of February for a week, or 17th or 24th Feb? Which is likely, in your experience to give us the best opportunity for snow?

Thank you for your considered replies in advance Smile

re: Help! Booking holiday in Bulgaria

Personally I prefer Bansko. It has a good variety of runs and the 16km run from the top of the mountains is fantastic

My wife and I stayed in the Strazhite (end of Jan 06) and including full ski hire and tuition the cost was around the £1000 mark.

Having said that were off to Boro this year.

Go independently you can book apartments and transfers through this site and you just need a flight then Wizzair are doing some good deals from Luton.

re: Help! Booking holiday in Bulgaria

Try having a look at bargainholidays.com all the deals go through a tour operator, last year we stayed at the Perelik over new year, flights, transfers, weeks accommodation HB under 300 per person. This year off to Borovets, same deal still under 350, once youve booked online get in touch with the tour operator and reserve your lift pass, ski hire etc.

re: Help! Booking holiday in Bulgaria

Hi,

Thanks for the replies, it's helped!

We've found 3 February, Tuition, Snowboard gear, lift passes at the Perelik for 7 days for £938 all in!

Looks like a good deal to me, although we stayed at the Mourgavets last year and that's largely booked up now Sad

Anyone been to the Perelik?

Thanks

James.
