Help! My friend is obsessed!

Right, me and a friend are going skiing in feb (in around 3 weeks), but the easily excitable danny boy is quickly becoming obsessed with snow reports (especially snowfix.com!) It has now come to the point that he checks them before school! I have several options open to me, but i need some advice!
1. hes just an immature schoolboy, forgive and forget...
2. join him, an check even more times a day
3. kill him off before the holiday to enjoy some peace and quiet
