Please forgive me -but as this is the best forum about skiing ever I don't know where else to go - but I am really stuck as to where to go this year.
We've done Bankso twice and really loved it but last time I was there I snapped my ACL - not it's fault I know - but I would like to try somewhere new now that I'm mended.
All suggestions gratefully recieved -even if not Bugaria
We went to Andorra last March - skiing is great (I went with someone who had only ever skiied France, Switzerland etc and he was really impressed)
Its more expensive than Bulgaria but still cheaper than the Alps etc. If you go to the Grandvalira region (Pas de la Cass, Soldeu etc) you get the benefit of three resorts all linked on one lift pass. Well worth a visit if you fancy something different but cant afford the 'expensive' resorts
You may want to consider some of the high altitude Italian resorts (e.g La Thuile) - had a couple of trips there in recent years....great skiing (went across the tops into La Rosiere (France), relatively decent all round prices and loads of 'snow-sure' pistes! Not too much apres-ski activity (a bit quiet) but if your main priority is skiing then that's not really an issue.
Oh...and most are reachable in less than 2 hours from Turin airport.
Cheers - have a great time wherever you ...
