Hi Tone,]

No not hibernating just busy working, shopping, looking after family (its half term), to say nothing about never being able to get on to the computer due to the delights of MSN (Brent), Champ Manager (Steve) and homework(Bobbi).

Plus the weather has been great in sunny Yorkshire so spent most of yesterday (day off) getting the garden back in to some kind of shape. I couldn't belive I needed my sunglasses on in Feb! you should be even warmer than us in Devon - are you in the sheltered bit or nearer the moor? I dont know Devon very well - dont think I've ever been there. We went to Polperro once for a hol but I got a fungus in my mouth from the seawater (not pleasant) so I've not been back!!

Did you get any use out of the ski's you won in the raffle? Are they any good?
Brent and Bobbi have been to xscape (snow slope in Castleford, about 20 mins away) today and aren't back yet so I hope they've done OK!! A few of my friends are either sking at the mo or about to go (mainly to Italy) so I am feeling a little jealous and looking forward to having another go!!

Hi back to you Kathryn !

Half term down here also and the weather's also very clement at present, so much so that Sal' and I mounted our trusty steed, ( motorbike !), on Sunday last and headed of into them thar hills. Yeee Ha !!

Actually the hills in question were Exmoor, which is some 16 miles from us here on the North Devon coast, where our small village of West Down, is 4 miles from Ilfracombe, and the big surfing beaches of Croyde, and Woolacombe, so we aren't short of things to do here. Largest town for us is Barnstaple, which is 10 miles away,and has a good shopping mall, and liesure centre.

Polperro is down in Cornwall, and they have strange habits down there, hence your fungal infection when swimming !!!!

Haven't used the ski's which Sal won, because those which I already use are much better. The new ones are old models, but arent too bad, ( free, is a great price !), and I may transfer some bindings from one of my spare old ski's for Neil to use next year if all's well.

I've read about Xcape, - What is the snow quality, the organisation, time allowed per session, and the cost ?

Glad to read your string comment on the Pamporovo pool, - I swam every day and thought that it was OK too, - Seems to be a lot of wimps out there.

Also pleased to read that you haven't given up on trying to ski, - I promise you that when you can, (and you will !), -you will wonder why it seemed so difficult at first, and when you've ski'ed some of the resorts that I've done over the years, it's all very worth while.
