Holiday Questionaires

Getting far too intrusive for my liking. We refused to complete ours after our recent trip to Livigno with Neilson (which was brilliant) due to the depth of questions that had absolutely nothing to do with our holiday.

(1) How much is our collective income per annum.
(2) When is our home insurance renewal due.
(3) When do we change our car.
(4) What newspapers do we read.
(5) What home improvements are we planning.

And on and on for 4 pages with just 1 page dedicated to our holiday. Just so they can sell my informationh to as bunch of toe-rags that can then contact me to try and sell me a load of crap that I don't want.

I am more than happy to give them feedback on my holiday, but if they think I am going to supply them with all the other insignificant information so they can pass it on at a profit to god knows who - then they can think again!

Happy Easter all Wink

re: Holiday Questionaires

Pete, would be interested to hear your views on Livigno, although I think the snow conditions were particularly poor this year when you were there.
I have been there 4 times and love it!

Also loved it to pieces Simon and considering it was April the snow was fantastic. Still able to ski right down to the Gondala and although the afternoons were a bit slushy it really impressed me a lot. Would definately recommend it and will definately return.

re: Holiday Questionaires

Glad to hear it Pete.
You should try it earlier in the season, New Year is a great laugh, snow usually good, but obviously better between middle of January to end of march.

re: Holiday Questionaires

We were asked by our Neilsons reps only to fill in the holiday part and ignore the rest, possibly not company protacol but think they got more back because of it.

These forms are sponsored by different companies. They then put in their own question on the form and answers get given back to the different companies. now this is why you get cold calling, insurance, double glazing, mortgage companies etc etc ringing you. dont fill them in. They say you filled in our survey suggesting you were looking for a better mortgage etc etc. You can never remember the form coz it was on one of these and not a specific form to their company. Even if you do not answer any questions apart from ones related to your hol or experience it is still given to these other companies and they have all your details.

I know because my company used this method when trying to sell mortgages.
