Well folks, for those of you (many i am sure) who are praying, praying and praying for snow (and i am one)---myself and Hornster are trying to keep you all updated with honest info...and NOT just based on automated 'once a day' sites which are about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike. However, it does not mean we are any better, but at least the info is fresher---having said that I think the accuracy rate has not been too bad.
Anyway, at the mo there still is a chance of a light ...

Anyway, at the mo there still is a chance of a light refresh of the snow this weekend, but it is looking only light. Next week there is the chance of some more mid weekish BUT BUT this really is only 50/50 at the moment. The next two days should firm things up, so those of you going this weekend should have much better idea by Thursday this week as to the likelihood for snow next week.
Like I said before you can read this stuff or ignore it, but it is posted with best interests at heart AND WITHOUT the bullsh*t.

Evening Benson - thanks for the latest update - always well considered to the point of apologetic....Like you say - there will still be the opportunity for 'some' skiing so as the old saying goes 'Its better than nowt!"

thanks folks--no not a weather man, just a love (strange I know) of the weather. There are a number of freely available data sites, but you need to know just a litle to make some sense from them. they still are not at the same level of info that the Met Office etc use of course, but they are pretty goodDW--go to pamps 3 feb (same as PP)-stay at the Markony

Nice one Benson, my dad's well into it, so was well pleased to get a text from him on new years eve saying big snow was coming on 3rd Jan - and he was spot on!!!
