Honesty

Thinking of booking a family skiing trip for feb. Is it wise to book now or would you wait to see how the conditions are after xmas.

Also is Bulgaria good or should i be looking at austria, france. I havent got a glue.

It's worth waiting, but then we all are after last years disappointing snow, we only went to Bansko, Bulgaria for first time last year as they did have snow, it didn't have the magic that Austria, Italy or France have, but it was so affordable, staying in great hotels very cheap lift pass gear hire lessons, the mountain was great but the town a real dump so maybe not for a family perhaps Pamporova and Borovets are better for family fun. We had a good time on the slopes but look back on every other ski resort holiday with far more affection, saying that I would return and plenty of people do, it's very cheap but rather charmless.I don't recommend Bansko to my friends except for a cheap weeks thrashing the mountain. you pay your money you take your chance. If you get a good deal I would go for it. We just booked Bansko for jan and got a great price with airtours. We were there last jan no snow in the town until the day we left but we had plenty up top. If you havn't skiied before I dont think it will be such an issue. I think Bulgaria is a great place for a first hol, great instructors very friendly and not very expensive you will probably end up paying twice as much for france or italy.I have been to ...
