Hi PTl,
Have stayed in the Ela and back again on Sat, yes it is approx 50m from the gondola. As your coming up the main street you have Happy Duck & Samakov Hotel on left
so it is opposite these. Good hotel roaring fires etc, easy walking down from main Booze Cheers Cocktail Happy dance Party baloons
area.

Hi,
The Ela is my fave.... modern rooms and close to the gondola
In order
1) Ela
2) Samokov
3) Iglika
4) Rila

As SP says, nice log fire in the bar area makes for a cosy few drinks Smile

Stayed there a few weeks ago, nice clean and modernish hotel. Don't bother booking half board as evening food is a bit rubbish but brekkie is ok.

Have just returned from the Ela and had a fantastic week. Food ok really, not great but in a great position for the gondala and not to long a walk down to the Rila slopes as we were beginenrs. Had a great bunch of people that really made our holiday great. You will have a great time. As Pete say, the rooms are quite modern and there is free wi-fi too. Di.

re: Hotel Ela, Borovets

Stayed in the Ela about 5 years ago. Have never been able to get back in as it seems to be fully booked. Only issues that I had were that the pillows were lumpy and you have to get into the restaurant early in the evening as they tended to run out of food. Other than that you should go for it.
