re: Hotel Ela

Borovets is wicked. We've just got back from buying a place there and can't wait to go back - 4 weeks today!!

A few friends of mine are staying at Ela when we go back on 4 Feb. The hotel location is fab, just down the road from the gondola lift (about 1 - 2 mins walk!) but it;s away from the main "noisy" part of town.

The food in Bulgaria, if you haven't been before, is what you would expect from a developing eastern european country - you get what you pay for, so pay a little more ...

Try Katy's Steak and Wine - more expensive than most places (although cheep compared to England) but the best meal to have in Borovets!

THe slopes are great, but the resturants up the mountains are expensive. I'd suggest taking a rucksac with a bottle of water and a few chocolate bars, if you dont want to spend a fortune during the day.

HAve a great time - i know you will!!

Thanks for the info, can you advise whether the ski school allows adults and kids together, my son has minor learning difficulties and my wife is also new to skiing and would like to be in the same class as him, thanks again, can't wait, Tony L Razz

re: Hotel Ela

There was a 13 year old in our ski group last year so it is possible? Not aware of any particular age limit?
