Hotel Flora

Off to Flora, Borovets in a couple of weeks time (3rd of Feb). Has anyoone any feedback good or bad? Also appreciate some hints/ tips on where to go for apres ski and some quality grub.

Girlfriend is a first time skiier - what are the schools like?

Oh and one more - perhaps the most crucial - where can I watch Wales defeat the Irish(especially after Munster did us no favours Saturday!!!!!) Wink

Hotel Flora or the Apartments ? Very Happy Nice, central location - food in the Hotel is supposed to be lovely and very reasonable ! (we stay in an apartment so pay to use - you may be half board ?) Ski instruction very good - whether with a school or private tuition. Apres Ski !! You'll be spoilt for choice - so many lovely bars and restaurants to choose from ! Booze As for the rugby (?), several places have the big screens (Franko's for e.g) but not sure if they will be showing the match you want ...

re: Hotel Flora

other tips: the spa facility's, the irish bar (not many people last year but perfect to catch a bulgarian feast if your lucky!), top central location;
the only thing I had was that HB the food in the evening was not that good: its eatable (spelling!!) but I saw delicious food when you pay for it so I just know that the cook can do an effort! Wink
Another plus is that my 'stamcafe' was just opposite so very easy to 'walk' back.. Booze Booze

re: Hotel Flora

Flora seems like a nice place - visited it enough to get cash out as it seems to have the only working machine in Borovets!!

re: Hotel Flora

Thanks for the reply - you seem to have had a good time. We're in the Hotel - HB, so fingers crosed that the chef is in the cooking mood for his guests. All reports that I've seen seem be good - hotels, people, ski schools - all we need now is snow!!! Razz
