Stayed their this year. Really central location, and inside the hotel/apartments are really nice, very clean. Breakfast is usual Bulgarian fayre. Make sure you use Are's bar opposite great pub and they really look after you.
We stayed there last season. Nowt wrong with it, the rooms are a bit cramped, and the duvets are ever so slightly too small for the beds. A bit of a hike to the dining room, and the pool is cooooooold, although the jacuzzi is great. Good bars nearby although their bar is fine if slightly pricey
Reading Sancho's comments - I had to respond we stayed there over New Year last year (loads of snow!!) The room was huge Big double beds - loads of space - (two bathrooms) agree about the pool it was cold but the massages were fantastic we had an open account with the girls even my 6 yr old had one in the evening! – The food is as you would expect in Bulgaria – it does the job. Breakfast was plentiful & hot (we ate early) plenty of fruit as well as eggs bacon and sausage.

We ate in Samakov town several nights, taxi down and back – That is the best advice I can give you, much better quality of food down there than Boro itself.
If someone were going to Boro I would recommend Flora.
Happy Skiing.
I will be taking the family skiing at half term but giving Bulgaria a miss this year – I hope you all have a great time as I did last year - and as much snow as last New Year!!
