Off to Borovets on Saturday and can't wait. I was wondering if anyone had stayed in the Hotel Iglika Palace and had any tips...what is it really like?
Looking forward to the snow and the break from work....see you there!
I stayed there last year - it's a lovely little hotel with a roaring fireplace in both the lounge and the restaurant. Very convenient - right opposite the Rila so you are in the centre of town.
Everyone was really friendly - they'll recognise you well enough to know your key number within the first couple of days.
The food wasn't bad either - hot if you came down at the beginning of the meal time. I had veggie, after being fed up of pasta four nights running, I asked them to knock up ...

If you loose your safety deposit key (like wot I did last year) there's always a spare behind the desk too!!!
The hotel is in an excellent location and is a really friendly place. We are staying there on the 31st Jan for the second time. I didn't rate the food much - bit cold and same thing day in day out but it's so cheap to eat out we didn't find this a problem. I would suggest you take some toilet roll if you like it soft!!
