Anyone stayed in the iglika palace on Borovets? What are the rooms and food etc like. Stayed in the Rila last year and ate out every night. Breakfast was edible but just.
we have stayed in the iglika for the last two new years and going again in february this season, the food is fine, the hotel is smaller and friendlier than its bigger neighbours(rila and samokov)it has a nice swimming pool below it(you need to wear flip flops to get to it)if you try and find things to complain about you will but we could not fault the place, but beware the female staff seem to have a competiton of who can wear the shortest skirt so thats a bit distracting(not!)

I stayed at the Iglika last season with 10 others. Here's what I think the pros and cons are of the Iglika.
Pros:
Cheap, cosy bar, basic but comfortable twin rooms,
good buffet style food (more english than I've found at other hotels in Bulgaria - whether or not that's a good thing is your call), close to shopping centre and ski lifts.
Cons:
Doors to bathroom are frosted glass - you wouldn't want a stranger in the room whilst on the toilet/taking a shower. The 'wet room' is a bit ...

The 'wet room' is a bit small too, I had to take the toilet paper out when I showered. If you snap a key in the door they charge you a lot of money. Walking to the hotel in ski boots is painful.
If I decide to head to Bulgaria this christmas I would have no hesitation booking at the Iglika again.
Hi, we have stayed in the superior rooms and they have twin beds and extra put you up ones for the kids, the bathrooms are bigger than the other rooms with a bath in instead of showers, all in all a nice size room.
