Anyone stayed in this hotel? What is it like?Also I have heard that the new road linking Bankso with Sofia airport is now in service is this correct?

Yes - stayed there last year - couldn't fault it.Excellent choice.

Pete - thanks for your quick reply. I have heard the winter wellness, the spa etc is all free (bar the massage).I have finally persuaded my wife to go back skiing, we missed last year (due to moving house in February) but on condition it was back to Bansko!
How could I refuse!!
We were there 4 years ago, looking forward to the changes.

Ihave not been to the hotel, butthe road is not finished yet, this is bulgaria after all !! they had the moneyfor the Athens olympics.I went last week and the road is much better, but they still havesome way to go. Idrove sofia to bansko in 2 hours, so it is better, especially the road up from simili ( i think that is the name)

Stayed at Hotel last year and going again this year.Rooms clean hotel good. Food is plentifull and to a fairly good standard. Ski bus runs every 20 mins from 8-11 then every 40mins and starts on 20 mins from 3-6.30 but it is not far to gondola if you want to walk.dbut

I stayed here last year in february. i was very impressed with the hotel, very clean, most of the staff very friendly. I actually stayed in the hotel bar most nights as it was open till late and very cheap, one of the barmen complete show off juggling all of the drinks, but very clever 
It is only 5-10mins walk to the gondola so if the bus isnt outside waiting, it is just as quick to walk. It was my first trip to Bulgaria and for the price, you cant beat it. Im going Canada next year, ...

Nice decor,clean, large rooms,
food OK
good location,
nice pool spa
..... and there is an Irish pub opening up next door.

Me and my family are staying there 1st March 08, usually do Pamps. Nice to see good reports about Hotel. What is the snow like tha week.Phil B
