Hotel Lion, Bansko

Have booked for the 23rd Febuary. 2 adults and 3 kids. Anyone been before and know what its like?
Anyone got older kids and want to sell any ski gear, which is decent. Role on Feb this weather (rain) is awful.

Feb is a good time to go, you can try sportsworld at any large shopping centre, they normally do very good ski wear, the lion is very nice, and your kids will love Bansko, is it half term, it does get busy on the lifts so go early to avoid them

No not half term, i think we go the week after that. To be honest the price went up big time and we just couldnt afford it.
The ski gear will only be worn once so it would be a shame spending a fortune. Will look out for sportsworld cheers.

yep you have picked the right week. Did the Lion last year after the school holidays. It.s a bit of a trek on the bus but well worth it. We know the snow conditions were poor last season so let's hope it's better this. Where are you flying from

Flying from Manchester! How long is the treck to the slopes from the Lion Hotel?

about 10 mins if your slow, but a great pub to stop at on the way back, its the Friendly pub, very nice in their, also you need to walk after a hard day it relaxes the muscles, think of it as theraputic, also you could get on the Perun bus it stops next door, coming or going, but try not let the driver see you do it

The Lion runs 2 mini buses to and from the Gondola every 10 / 15 mins starting at 8am until 6pm. But it's a good warm up in the morning to walk which will take you 10 mins or so.

flying from Bristol that's if my m8 pulls his finger out. United were lucky it takes a welshman to keep them going. Baa Baa Baa.
