Hotel Lion Borovets

HelloWe're going to Borovets this year and staying in Hotel Lion. Can anyone tell me what it's like and how far away it is from the main resort centre.. Also if you need to get taxis to the centre is it expensive???

I think you'll like the hotel, we were there March this year and thought it was great value. The hotel is quite modern by bulgarian standards and I think merits it's 4 star rating. The only bit of advice I'd give you is to take plenty of t-shirts for sitting about in the hotel as the heating is up full all the time,at least you can always turn it down in your room. The hotel is only 5 mins away from the lifts by the courtesy bus. You can also jump in a taxi about 10 lev, so quite cheap. ...

The food in the hotel is ok, nothing brilliant, certainly edible with a decent choice.We'd heard a lot of horror stories regarding the food in the hotels in Bulgaria so we weren't expecting anything fantastic before we went. Would we go back? Well we're booked for the Lion again 2nd March 08 and can't wait. Hope this has been of some help, anything else you want to know, don't hesitate to ask.

Just a quick question, have just booked the Lion, is there a pool ?? on the web it says so but no pictures, and on a tour company brochure no mention.

HiThere is a nice pool as well as sauna and massage facilities.
