Hotel Lion Borovets

Anyone know where the Hotel Lion is in Borovets, reports on other sites varry from 100M from resort centre to 1.5K. Anypne been there this season, what's it like?

Was in borovets last March,the Lion was the first dropoff ,looked nice but fair old hike to town.

Hi we stayed at Hotel Lion over Christmas & it was fantastic. In fact it was so good we are going back on 4th March for another week & we do not normally visit same place twice. It is aprox 15-20 mins walk from town & gondola lift. Its by Hotel Bor/Edelweiss. They offer a free shuttle bus which leaves every 20-30 mins 8am till 6pm & is very reliable therefore not an issue being just out of town. They also now have swimming pool. Hotel is very warm so take T-shirts as we ran out of tops as ...

Hotel Lion is at the to left of the map. For the scale, Rila to Samokov is about 250m

Yep, Hotel Lion is nice. Jo and Chris showed us around the place. Was a bit warm and the pool table was a little strange (honest, thats why we lost!). But the locals trying to move a trailer was very entertaining! Smile
