Hotel Lion

Hello everyone

I am looking at going to Hotel Lion in Bansko. The only thing that puts me off is that the brochure says it is 5 minutes to Gondola and 3 minutes to town but yet it says there is a free shuttle service.

I am guessing these travel times are in that free bus, not by foot? I looked on the map of bansko on this site and could not find hotel lion. If anyone has been there could they please let me know if a bus is required for both town and gondola. Also if it is how often is ...

Also if it is how often is it running?

Thanks and sorry it is slightly long winded.

re: Hotel Lion

You can walk to the Gondola in about 7 or 8 minutes, to the town it would be about 10/12 minutes, as you are carrying ski's i am sure you wouldnt want to walk all the time so there are a couple of shuttles that leave every 15 minutes or so from the hotel/Gondola, it is very much in walking distance and the shuttles are very frequent and dont cause too much hastle, i always stay opposite the lion at the Perun

re: Hotel Lion

The Lion is an awesome hotel. We stayed there last yr when it was just opened. It was amazing. And yea, neil's right, you could walk to the gondola but no need when there's a mini bus running so often.
