Hotel Lion

Hi I was just wondering what the hotel Lion is like. I stayed at Rila last year and thought was excellent value. No looking for a palace just a place to lay head down but was wondering thoughts. Also do they have wi fi. Last year we went the 4 th January not loads of snow what is ealry feb like. Cant wait

Never stayed myself but heard good reports. Just be aware tht it is out of town and so you would need to use taxis or the bus to get in.

Hi Matt,

We stayed in the Lion 2 seasons ago - late Feb. Its a nice hotel and we had a good stay but as dbut says it is out of town - the hotel does operate a couple of shuttle buses during the day though, we never waited more than 5-10 mins

We're in the Yanakiev this coming Feb...

Hotel Lion is nice, the shuttle bus is good and never leaves you waiting too long. Taxi home at night isn't too much or you can walk it, approx 10 mins?!?
The food was okay when we were there, not the best choice but adequate!!
