Hey, got back from Bansko on Sat and had such a brilliant time! We stayed at The Lion and were extremely impressed
The location is good (opp Hotel Perun), about a 10 min walk to Gondola, or a 2 min bus journey which is free!
Our bedroom was HUGE, and the whole hotel is very clean and very warm! You dont need to worry about it not being finished as it is finished to a very high standard! The food is ok, edible, but to be honest its worth eating out most of the time as its so cheap and so ...

Im sure you'll have a wicked time, we did, and would definately return to The Lion
Hi stayed there the week befroe last. Very nice hotel. Rooms were good and food better than expecting. It's slighly on the outskirts of Bansko. Within walking distance of gondola in boarding boots but in ski boot the bus would be better. Could be a bit of a scramble to get a place at time. The hotel was very well heated but the pool wasn't! Rooms kept very clean and of course everything new. Tip, if you've hired skis/boots from tour company, get the very first bus on Sunday morning - or even ...

Rooms kept very clean and of course everything new. Tip, if you've hired skis/boots from tour company, get the very first bus on Sunday morning - or even walk to make sure you get there first. All tour companys seem to use the same hire place and queues for kit build up very quickly. I was near the front when I was there but felt very sorry for people behind me as they must have waited hours to get stuff and most would have missed the 10 oclock lesson start on first day. Also, the hire place lets you leave stuff there over night - heard of several people who did that, came back the next day and found their stuff and been hired out again which caused all sorts of problems. Better to take stuff back to hotel.
