Hotel Mura in Boro

Hi

On the 3rd of feb it will be my 4th trip in 4 years to Bulgaria - Can't wait!

We got a last minute thing in the Hotel Mura in Borovets - having never stayed there I wondered if anybody had any opinions on the Place?!

Cheers everybody - here's hoping for some great snow real soon.

Chris.

PS I just ordered some Annual Insurance including snowsports from MoneySuperMarket - 46 quid (for a couple) including snowsports!! I thought that was pretty cheap so I thought I'd spread ...

Hello there i stayed in the Mura over new yr..

It's what i'd call a no frills hotel, the rooms were cleaned everyday the food was not so good I'm afraid but the the staff were lovely..

The location was next door down to the Samakov,we ate in the pizza bar opposite they were real nice and the food was ace in there, don't be fooled by the pizza sign they serve all sorts..

For a real super meal try the black cat was very nice indeed and quite cheap too..

re: Hotel Mura in Boro

thanks for the reply tigertim. As long as its clean and friendly I'm happy.

you didn't see if the 'Green King' restaurant was still there? (At least I think that was what its called - it was opposite the gondola-entance-road on the other side from the samokov hotel).. i'll always remember that place doing awesome food.

Anyway - enjoy your holiday everyone Very Happy

Hi,

My 1st trip to bulgaria was in 2000 and I stayed in the Mura and my mate stayed in the Samokov, we always met in the Mura bar and often returned there later on as it was very friendly.

Plenty of hot water too, just a nice basic clean hotel.

Only about 200 metres from the centre so close enough yet nice and quiet too.

May see you in the bar there as I do venture there each year! Very Happy

Stayed there last year and was thoroughly entertained by the 3 walled lift, if not a little afraid. Did want to shoot the dog in the pound next door that seemingly never shut up - hopefully someone has done the honours?!?!
