Getting closer to booking our Hols now! We reckon we're going to stay in Borovets, and the Hotel Mura looks ok(liked Ela, but no availability, Mura looks v similar in location and price).
Does anyone have any knowledge of the place? Is the "Nightclub" mentioned in the Inghams brouchure a Disco or a rather more "Adult" establishment than that? (We have teenage kids, 15+14)
The location of the hotel is fine, with regards to the gondola. It's just that in the evening everyone is lazy and sticks to the main street for entertainment, whereas this hotel is just away from this area.
Hotel was good, went last Jan, rooms are basic but ok, eat out most of the time, ideally situated only 10-15mins to gondola, staff are friendly, disco down stairs was generally quiet, going back next year, same time hopefully, hotel bar very good good, just like most of the bars in boro, staff very friendly and cocktails in happy HOURS very cheap.
Hi there - we stayed in Mura Feb this year. (2 party girls!) It is just over a 5 min walk to main drag which when you're shattered is a bit of a bit of a pain but would much rather have stayed here than the bigger hotels closer to the centre (Rila). The rooms are basic & rather dated but clean, tidy & cosy. Standard. The reception, restaurant & bar staff were all helpful and friendly, you don't get this sevice at the bigger hotels. (Our friends were staying at the rila)The small bar ...

(Our friends were staying at the rila)The small bar (open all hours) had an open fire which was lit most of the time, it was relaxed and cosy. Perfect for hot choc after hard afternoon on the slopes, first drink before hitting the town, or a nightcap after hitting the town! Definintely better than the bigger hotels whose bars felt like airport lounges. Because the hotel is a few mins walk and set back from the road it doesn't pull in passersby, we never saw anyone in disco. We ate there most evening before going out for drinks, it was fairly standard. Bread, picked veg, salads, soups, casseroles and stew, spicy sausages & meat. Nice enough but often little too luke warm. Victoria.
