Here is a summary of information recently gleaned from my first trip to Pamporova, staying at the Murgavetz.
Hotel Murgavetz.
General
Very good standard hotel obviously recently refurbished. Helpful staff. Just about a UK 4* - they are trying very hard to get to/maintain that level. The room was functional but fairly small. There is a small balcony for each room this would have been useful if it had been sunnier more days.

The pool and Jacuzzi are fairly new and could just be slightly warmer. Most late afternoons there would be about 4 people in the pool. Two Saunas: one about 95 degrees, the other about 80 degrees. The jet bath was not working whilst we were there.
Change available 9:00 to 21:00.
Mini bar in the room. TV with 3 useful channels BBC World, CNN and MM (music channel) the rest are Bulgarian or Turkish. Variably reception quality!
Two lifts try and avoid getting stuck in them when there is a power failure!
Food.
Breakfast never changed there was a selection of warm eggs and sausage (european). Tea, coffee and juices, cold cuts with cheese and ham, some fresh natural yoghurt and fruit and a splendid choice of cakes. Make your own toast. More than enough selection for the start of the day. Very little choice of cereals so if you like your cornflakes take your own. Opens from 8 till 10 (I think) gets crowded about 9ish.
Evening Meal 6 till late. Selection of warm food, 3 or 4 meat dishes, 1 vegetarian main meal. Choice of vegetables. Good choice of salads and breads. Excellent choice of cakes and 4 types of ice cream. Gets a little repetitive after a couple of days and it is so cheap to eat out suggest you use sparingly.
Bars.
Never drank in the main lobby bar preferred the Cosmos Bar on the 9th floor great views of the mountains when returning from the piste late afternoon.
Thats it for the hotel. Will pen more on the resort when I have time.

Thanks for that Matt am going back to the Mourgavets for the first time since its refurb sounds good now
