Hi staying at the hotel olymp from the 3 rd for a week and was wondering what is was like as we have a 5 year old and dont know how far it is to the lifts, kids kindergarden, restaurants and of corse bars. As PP has gone on holiday i can know say I CANT WAIT.
Hotel Olymp is in a fantastic location. Its actually at the top of a piste (small easy one used by learners) so you can ski out of the backdoor of the hotel down to the Rila lifts.
Not sure where the Kindergarden meets but I think its at the Rila lifts.
Bars and restaurants - the quickest way to get to the main area is to walk down this same piste, OK on the way down but can be a bit tiring on the walk back up after your evening out!
I thought the hotel was OK, its clean and warm ...

I thought the hotel was OK, its clean and warm but don't expect the ritz! The food is also a little bit strange (but perfectly edible) but you'll get that with any of the Boro hotels.
ppl that we met on holiday were staying at this hotel-they used their bumboards to get down to the gondola in the mornings-they left the bumboards in the ski depot by the gondola station-one way of a speedy way down and got rid of any hangovers
