HiStaying in the Hotel Olympic from the 25th March for a week, I have heard some horror stories about the hotel in the past and was wondering if these comments are genuine or just one off bad experiences?

If you mean the Olymp on Boroverts then no, i'm afraid the 'old' stories are true as i stayed there 2 years ago and it was grim. food was inedible, rooms were tatty/carpet stained/small single thin mattressed beds and worst of all was the trek up hill to get to it - in deep snow it was difficult to say the least!
What i will say in it's defence is that hotel had said they were having a refubishment 2 years ago and i met a few people who were staying there this year and they said rooms were ...

Obvioiulsy people have different standards but am sure they would have said if it was a h*ll hole! So would presume the refurbishment did go ahead.
Keep checking this site and run searchs on the Olymp and you'll see some honest reviews from people staying there this year - as they're better placed to give you honest opinion.
