havent been to or stayed at that hotel, the ski bus was always full by the time we got there and they left everyone waiting for the next one. heard a few bad reports ref smells from toliets and poor working showers, dont know how true they were though. A good hotel 4 star close to the centre and near the first ski bus pick up is the mourgavets (think thats the correct spelling) linked to the perilik by a tunel and most of the bars are either in the perilik or very close by.

I can confirm Sams comments with regards to the ski bus situation and would from personal experience recommend the Perelik/Mugavets/Orlavets trio of Hotels.Hotel Pamporovo is within walking distance of where the action. People I have spoken to who have stayed there have told me that they would not go back again. If you want the 5* then the Orlavets would probably be the one to go for. Very Happy

I was talking to some people in Bansko this year who had stayed in this hotel and said it used to be good but had since gone downhill.

re: Hotel Pamporovo -Pamporovo

at the beginning of last season they had many problems but they looked to have rectified them by end of january.
I have stayed there, the Murgavets and the Perelik, and my favorite is the Murgavets - but some of my party prefer the Pamporovo.
The Pamps is a hotel set on its own, whereas the Murgavets has an underground tunnel to the Perelik and a few bars and shops - so its much easier to get about from the Murgavets.
If you do not stay in the Pamps I would definately go there one night ...

If you do not stay in the Pamps I would definately go there one night to their bar downstairs, as it is a nice bar.

Stayed in the hotel pamps this january and i had a fab time,.yes it is true that the bus gets full, but you can stand up and you are only on it for 5 minutes tops.........you dont even have to have your skis/boots with you. The hotel itself is great and there is an amazing log fire just inside that you can sit around after a hard days skiing, theres a pool, bowling alley , night club, and a few bars. Would i go back again.........for £500 all in including ski school.............DEFINATELY

Hi All, stayed at the Hotel, Feb. 2006 on our first skiing holiday. Brilliant, the only downside to it is the dining room cannot cope, no matter what time we went there was usually a queue.

I've stayed at the Pamporovo and the Mourgavets and if they were the same price i would choose the Mourgavets every time. Don't be fooled by the pictures in the brochure in my opinion the Mourgavets is the place to stay.

THIS HOTEL IS TOP OF THE POPS!!
I stayed there last year and had no problems at all - the room was VAST and the facilities were excellent - great bar (with 10 pin bowling!), nice little Irish them bar, coffee bar, loads of healthy tretaments available. Always lots of hot water ..nae worries.
Ski bus??? - it's a 15 minute walk to the lift - leave your skis at the ski centre and enjoy the stroll.
Go for it! Cool Cool Cool Cool Razz
