I have read a lot of posts and thought I would put my views on the site.
We went Jan 06 and had a great time so much so that we are going back on the 27/01 with 5 friends. The hotel is not 5 star but this is Bulgaria not Dubai. Facilities were good ie- bowling alley, 2 pubs , night club and pool. Rooms are good size but a untidy but what do expect with 500 guests walking slushy snow through them everyday. People from Murgavets and hotel Perelik came to the Pamporovo for bowling and said it was better than there hotels. Food again is well Bulgarian amd there was lots of choice but you may need the Microwave to heat it up (luke warm food is a Bulgarian thing not a hotel fault).
Remember this Bulgaria they are a poor country and behind the times so do not go expecting the Ritz.
We travelled with First Choice who were great and so was Barney the Rep.
Friends of ours went with Balkan and had a nightmare.
And for remember you are there to Ski and drink so you wont have time to sleep in your hotel anyway!!!!!!!!
Here's praying for snow
cheers
Devon Lad!
Devon help the rest of us! wahahaha
Hotel Pamporovo is travellodge standard but probably swish in contrast to what Bulgarians are used to. Not their fault but we see it as sub standard
Just come back from Hotel Pamporovo.
We had a great week skiing. The hotel was good. We had a room on the 8th floor. The room was clean although there is a stale smoke smell that seems to come from the ventiliation system. Lovely view on our floor and on the bar on the 9th. Spa was great-sauna and pool free but you have to pay for jacuzzi and steam room for some reason.
Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. The hotel food was just dreadful. Advise to go B&B and not to bother with ...

Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. The hotel food was just dreadful. Advise to go B&B and not to bother with dinner if you can. Plenty of cheap restaurants about in the town. Overall recommend the experience. We did the first choice VIP wine dinner which was not recommended either for the food or the wine.
Overall would recommend at price and quality (minus the food).
