I remember hearing that its best to get your money from pamps hotel if you are staying there since the cashpoints in town are more expensive. Im sure they take card in the hotel, tho not sure if they actually have a cashpoint?
The hotel is amazing - i stayed there last year when i went skiing for my first time. I cant really remember if there is a cash machine there tho! xxxxxx

cash machine at the mourgavets hotel and on the steps outside Perelik. No charge for using. If taking cash good exchange rate in Perelik 2.80 levs Alaska 2.76.
I'm not sure if the hotel had a cash machine. I brought ample euro with me and cashed them in the local supermarket on an as needed basis (Alaska supermarket is 24 hour so you'll have no problem, be it sterling or euro). I didn't use any debit/credit cards for security reasons - just a few rumours I'd heard, though nothing concrete.

You'll be about a five minute walk outside the centre of Pamporovo. The first night we paid 12 levs for a taxi just to 'find out feet'. After that, we walked in each evening no hassle. Just be careful on the footpaths as they're very dodgy with the odd concrete block sticking out of the ground.
Have a great holiday. Wish I was going again but........... I'll have to wait til 2008 to ski again.
There's a little supermarket in the hotel too so if you need anything you'll get it there - it's just beside the internet cafe to the right hand side when you go in the main door.
