Hotel Pamporovo

Hi, we have booked our first ski holiday in Pamps for 8th March, staying at the Pamporovo Hotel. The resort sounds great and have been checkin out the webcam pics, so really looking forward to it. But having read some reviews on the hotel I am really worried that it's going to be awful. Has anyone any experience of this place (be honest) I need to know what I am bringing the family to - I'd prefer to be prepared to eat out eveynight and wash in the snow!!

As a first timer any recommendations where we should go for our apres ski and other enjoyable/not to be missed activites?
Cheers Booze

HI,
went to the hotel pamporovo last season and it was brilliant, every aspect of the place was great, I couldn't believe it as I'd heard bad thing too, I dont know where all these rumours come from but I loved the place, I've also read on here that It has been just as good this year too.
Dont worry your self you'll have a great time Booze

You'll have to visit the White Hart, had a great night there the night of our "Ski Diploma" in January this year. Enjoyed Pamps so much we're now going back next month without the kids **

apres ski is my speciality subject and there's plenty of bars in your hotel, also check out the rest of the bars in the resort centre. Booze

re: Hotel Pamporovo

we stayed there last year and although it's supposed to be a 5 star hotel it's more like a 3 star(I hear rumours it's officially been downgraded to a 4 star). but our room was nice although nowt flash! it's half board and even fussy eaters can find something to eat in the main restaurant. get your timings right because at peak times you have to queue to get in with waits up to 30 minutes! there are plenty of bars with the Irish bar a pool and my wife had a massage in the Spa which is very ...

Then you have the ten pin bowling alley and the pool tables in the basement of the hotel with another small bar. It must be okay because we will be there from Sunday 24th February Booze Wink Booze. i think the only hotel to top it might be the Orlovetz which apparently is much nearer to a 5 star than the Pamp but it will cost you more.I'm sure you'll enjoy it after all the main reason you're going is for the Skiing/Snowboarding.
