Hotel Peren in Bansko

Hi there people
Has anyone ever stayed at the above or..know anything about this hotel. We are there on 4th Feb and understand that it only opened last year. Have visions of Carry On Abroad etc etc

So if the bar was good what was it called ? or do you just slag the bad places off? I was in the Perun over Xmas and found it to be clean warm modern, friendly staff reasonable prices. Admittedly I didn't stay there I was just visiting.I have heard other good reports about this Hotel.

There are a few building sites between the Perun and the Gonola. Well there are building sites between any hotel and the gondola with the exception of the Kempinski which is within spitting distance.

re: Hotel Peren in Bansko

Mmmmm, perhaps there are two `Peruns' in Bansko ???
The one i stayed in last season was great, the staff friendly and helpful (treat them like people, not servants!!), rooms large and well fitted, lots of hot water (enough for a deep bath every night), food hot and plentiful, fresh omelettes cooked to order in the morning.
Two swimming pools (outdoor heated enough to allow you to lie there and look at the snow), great facilities...
Free transfer bus running every ten minutes to the ...

Free transfer bus running every ten minutes to the gondolar though i would walk it in 8 minutes. I could also be sat in the Lion Pub within 15 mins....
Yeh, it was a bit of a building site but it was all covered in snow when i was there....

re: Hotel Peren in Bansko

WE STAYED THERE IN MARCH LAST YEAR, TRUST ME MATE I WOULD TELL YOU IF IT WAS BAD, WE HAD A GREAT TIME ROOM PLACE WAS SPOTLESS, FOOD GREAT (served buffet style). FAB POOL AND SOLAIRIUM ETC

FOUND STAFF REALLY FRIENDLY GOOD LOCATION TO SLOPES CAN WALK IT IF YOU WANT BUT AS PREV STATED BUS REGULAR.

YOU'LL HAVE A GREAT TIME.

THE RESORT IS REALLY UP AND COMING AND SKIING IS GREAT
SOME PEOPLE NEED A LITTLE PATIENCE AND EASE UP ON THE LOCALS.

re: Hotel Peren in Bansko

there is the hotel Pirin (nearer to the square) and the hotel Perun (nearer to the slopes).
do know what they were like though, i was at hotel bulgaria.
i totally agree with Richies last sentance. the people are lovely, and are "abrupt" because that's their culture. they speak FAR better English than any of us can speak bulgarian.
have a great time
