Any tips for this resort or hotel?! i cant find any reviews on Hotel Perun at all, bit of a worry!! im so so so excited
Well as it's your first posting I thought you deserve a reply.
I have no clue about Bansko, Perun or Boarding (I went skiing last year).
Keep excited though. Last year was our first winter sport hol (we went to Borovets). Probably the second best holiday I have ever had (the 1st was on safari to Kenya for my honeymoon!).
Your hotel should be fine. In any event, you will probably only sleep and change in your hotel - how bad can it be?!!
thanks man, much appreciated, thought nobody loved me! will have to wait till someone comes on who has been, think could be waiting a while!!
Thanks again

thanks karen, what were the prices like for drinks in the hotel compared to town? also what was the food at the hotel like?! i have a very fussy boyfriend who wll live on beer if h needs too!
I stayed at the Perun last season (teething season)... as far as I was concerned everything was fab - though the staff could've done with a few more English lessons.
The facilities are excellent, especially the outdoor pool! Food is a little different... Breakfast is fine, a buffet with fresh pancakes etc... I didn't have dinner there... it was cheap enough to eat out every night in town, especially at the local mehanas! Local alcohol is much cheaper (50% approx) than imported. Obviously ...

Obviously you''ll be paying more in the popular 'western european' restaurants... I preferred the Mehanas, they were more personal and very friendly, they helped you choose from the menu and are getting better at cooking for 'our' tastes (i.e. hot rather than warm). They especially like it when you ask for a local fave like Hot Rakia (very alcoholic after-dinner liquer).
