Hi there - We have just come back from Xmas at Hotel Rhodopi Home. At first I thought it would be difficult to be outside resort but having seen Pamporovo I was really glad we were there. Chepelare is a very quiet Bulgarian town - there are no tourist shops, bars or anything else. This means nobody tries to sell you anything. Communication is a bit difficult but shopkeepers are happy to help you. Food in local restauraunt was excellent. You pay local Bulgarian prices which are much cheaper ...
You pay local Bulgarian prices which are much cheaper than in resort. All in all a quiet and relaxing place. The hotel is very nice (a few peculiarities - swimming pool not heated properly)but staff are very friendly and helpful and are willing to put on extra buses if necessary. One word of warning - if you go to the Ski evening in Pamporovo make sure that you know exactly where you are going to be picked up as the 'in front of hotel Sneznaka' turned out to be not in front and we missed the bus back. Luckily someone phoned the hotel and they sent another bus.Just realised it is now Tuesday so you have probably gone by now Smile Have a good time
