My kids prefer the Rila for the location. Most rooms at the front have a great view over the slopes but can be a bit noisey at night from the Kareoke Bar but I expect you'll be out partying too. If you think you will want peace and quiet, ask for a room at the back.

We prefer breakfast to dinner. Good choice from continental, cereals, pancakes, fruit to cooked breakfast. Dinner, although offers a wide range from salads to hot dishes and freshly cooked pizza, is more like 'school dinners'. We usually end up eating out but you won't starve.
The lobby/bar is good meeting place but is expensive (I think) but don't need to buy to sit there.
Swimming pool / jucuzzi is free but take flip flops with you and own towel. The room towels are not the largest, although you can take them down with you.
Bank / cash machine, few shops, beauty treatment and massage all ok.
HLucie,
I stayed at the Rila for the last two years with my best mate.
Rooms not 4* but clean, warm and lots of hot water. We've always had rooms at back of hotel which have been quite, bearing in mind we've not normally got in till very early hours!!
Breakfast very good, never tried evening meal, always ate out.
Like Borogirl said, great location. Lovely pool and 2 jacuzzi's, free to residents. You must book for massages in advance they seem to be very popular.

Only down sides we found, bedroom walls can be very thin... hope you're not staying next door to some party animals! Hotel bar very expensive!
Having said that, if you're not happy with you're room ask to change. They're usually very accomodating.
